Jennifer Scott

Jennifer Scott directs Talent Acquisition at Workforce Engine. Jennifer is a talent management strategist, recruiter and social media enthusiast with a deep and broad understanding of how the candidate sourcing, recruiting and retention processes work.

With experience in both search firms and corporate human resources, she helps companies design innovative recruitment processes which support hiring for corporate culture and competency fit. Jennifer assists clients in defining and articulating corporate culture and employee value propositions; identifying hiring needs; drafting competency and culture-based position descriptions; developing a recruitment strategy and action plan; and facilitating candidate communication to enhance an organization’s capabilities. Services include full-cycle talent acquisition strategy design and implementation, and training and consulting for in-house hiring managers and recruiters.

With a passion for networking and training, Jennifer is a dynamic and energetic speaker, inspiring audiences to explore the world of social recruiting. Speaking for professional industry groups; training internal and external recruiters and business owners on the effective use of social media; and helping businesses grow, she empowers people to build a strong referral network and engage their sphere of influence.

Earlier in her career, Jennifer was founder and owner of HireEffect, a recruitment strategy design firm, and Manager of Recruitment for Petro, Inc. and Star Gas Partners where she created the company’s first internal strategic recruitment process for their 38 locations across 9 states.

Prior to Petro, Jennifer was Division Manager for Smyth Corporate Staffing where she built and managed two territories for this NYC-based niche staffing firm, was the HR and Recruiting Manager for a privately-held customer service organization, and held several third-party agency-side recruiting positions.

Jennifer received her BA in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, Storrs.
